On 18 March 2014 at the Holiday Inn Skopje, the closing conference of the national equality and non-discrimination project will be held.
The aim of the conference is to present the results from the two year project to build the capacity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to implement the national strategy for equality and non-discrimination. During this conference, the participating institutions will adopt the declaration for intra-institutional cooperation and joint action in the field of equal opportunity, non-discrimination and protection of human rights.
As part of the project, a team of trainers in the field of non-discrimination was created. The trainers produced manuals for judges and state and public administration, and delivered 40 training sessions, which were attended by over 850 participants across Macedonia. Additionally, an е-module for equal opportunity and diversity was developed, which will be part of ongoing е-training for state and public administrators.
The project has been implemented by the British Council in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and funded by the British Embassy in the Republic of Macedonia.
