The British Council is seeking to engage a consultant to review, revise and enrich existing Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (CTPS) training materials developed for primary school subject teachers within the framework of the regional 21st Century Schools Programme implemented across Western Balkans, including in North Macedonia between 2018 and 2022.

Phase II aims to build on and expand on the original programme by focusing on lower-grade primary education and supporting class teachers working with children aged 9–10. Its primary goal is to strengthen the capacities of lower-grade primary school teachers to integrate critical thinking, problem-solving, coding, cybersecurity awareness and basic artificial intelligence concepts into classroom teaching, enabling children aged 9–10 to develop essential 21st century skills from an early age.

The selected consultant will support the adaptation and enhancement of the existing CTPS training materials to ensure their continued relevance and suitability for lower-grade primary education within the context of Phase II implementation.

More information about the assignment and requirements for application is available in the Terms of Reference, which can be downloaded from the Downloads section at the bottom of this page.
